She graduated from Duke University’s Master of Fine Arts Program in May 2023 where she focused on documentary production and cinematography.

Madison’s first solo-directed short film, Fire & Flood, has been selected to show at film festivals across the Southeast and was awarded “Best Environmental Documentary” at the 2023 Northwood Film Festival and “Best Film by an Emerging Filmmaker” at the 2023 Outer Banks Environmental Film Festival.

She was previously an on-air television news reporter at Spectrum News 1 North Carolina and taught Digital Storytelling and Media Ethics at her alma mater, UNC-Chapel Hill.
